Seven Ingredient Chili – Your New Camp Favorite!

You can prepare this simple chili recipe at home or just as quickly at camp. The chili’s flavor is not too spicy; it’s just the right spice to warm the soul.

Here is the list of items you will need

  • 3 pounds of ground burger
  • 2 Green peppers
  • 1-2 onions
  • 2 10.75 oz cans of tomato soup
  • 2-3 cans of diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper

How to prepare:

Brown the burger in a 5-quart cast iron pot; while the burger is browning, dice the peppers and onions. Add the green peppers and onions to the burger and cook until softened.

Add the soup, stir the diced tomatoes, and then add the chili powder and black pepper. Continue to heat until the chili is simmering nicely.

It can be served right in a bowl, or my personal favorite is to add Fritos to the bottom of the bowl and top it with shredded cheese and sour cream.
